I came home from my school of ministry's class tonight with an inspiring story. :)
It's about God and a man..
One day, God told this man to push a giant rock.
"Son, I want you to push this rock. Will you do it everyday?"
He does as God's will. He keeps pushing that rock, without asking, totally obedience, every single day. He keeps pushing and pushing... until two and a half year later, the devil come and whispered his venomous lines to the man.
*Ok, I'm being creative with this conversation, but seriously, maybe this is how the devils talk* lol
"Hey man, what the hell are u doing?"
"I'm pushing this giant rock."
"Huh?! Why the hell are u doing that?"
"Because my Father wants me to."
"What?! What the hell's on your mind? How long have u been doing that shit?!"
"Mmm.. Two and half year. Every single day...", he smiled proudly.
"Oh man.. You're so dumb and suck! Can't you open your eyes?? That thing won't move.... For God's sake.. It won't move no matter how hard you push, no matter how long... You're such an idiot."
The man listened, and begin to think.
"Hey.. that's kinda right.. I've been doing this for 912 days and this rock not even move for an inch. What on earth am I doing?"
And so the man began to angry to God and stopped pushing that giant rock.
One day, God came to him.
He knew the man has stopped pushing the giant rock, yet He still seek for him.
"Son.. Why did u stop pushing that rock?"
He shrugged, "Owh.. come on God.. Are you kidding me? I've been pushing that rock for years... I won't be able to move it! Why did u fool me??!"
God, maybe He raised His eyebrow a bit and gave him a smile, "I never asked you to move that giant rock, didn't I? I only asked you to push it. I never intend to have it moved either way. I want it to be there.. Solid enough for you.. I asked you to push it everyday to shape your muscle. I want to make you a stronger man.."
. . .
And that's it.
Tonight I got to understand that God did put some bloody giant rock in my life and yours as well, that won't move no matter how hard we've pushed. No matter how hard we've prayed, how long we've fast.. God wants it to be there. He has His own reason, and everything is for own good. So if today I'm facing the same giant rock for years, I know it is there for me.. to shape me.. to strengthen me. :)

maybe God left the "rock" to shapen us up.
or maybe He left it there to teach us how to make the most from the "rock"
